"I grew up in rural Northern California, surrounded by animals and heavily involved in my local community. Growing up, I was actively involved with local horse rescues, Girl Scouts and FFA. I completed my undergraduate education in Animal Biology at University of California, Davis and received my doctorate degree from the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis. I have a strong interest in large animal medicine and herd health, but also love working with companion animals. Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and camping. I also love to travel and hope to see as much of the world as I can throughout the course of my life. I have a dog named Cayo, who is a Labrador mix that I adopted while volunteering at a veterinary clinic in Belize."
